Today ART CONCERTS is the international market leader in the production and sale of monumental musical productions. The company, founded in 1986 by Franz Abraham (together with Robert Langer), brings music events of the highest standard to stages worldwide. These events are characterised by innovation, high-concept creative ideas, top quality production values, design and direction – as well as excellent value for money. The company generates 90% of its business in foreign countries, 40% of it outside Europe.  
Between 1986 and 1999, ART CONCERTS promoted many concerts and international tours for such artists as David Bowie, Paul Simon, The Prodigy, Swjatoslav Richter, Martha Argerich, Dave Brubeck, Wynton Marsalis, Ravi Shankar, Lou Reed, Agnes Baltsa, Philip Glass and Laurie Anderson. In 1995 and 1998 the Rolling Stones were presented at the Munich Olympic Stadium.
With the ART PROJECT in Munich 1992 and in Copenhagen in 1996, Franz Abraham created a festival concept which was called “a sensation in the music industry” (Der Spiegel). ART CONCERTS staged the KÖNIGSPLATZ OPEN AIR in Munich, with the Symphonieorchester des Bayerischen Rundfunks under the direction of Lorin Maazel. Between 1993 and 2000 it was the biggest and most successful annual classical music open-air event in Europe. Comemorating the centenary of Carl Orff, in 1995 ART CONCERTS produced the CARMINA BURANA MONUMENTAL OPERA with Walter Haupt, which has enjoyed worldwide success ever since. In 2002 GANYMÉE and GANYNÉE ON WATER, with star cooks Dieter Müller and Marc Häberlin, set new standards in the dinner theatre genre.
The same insistence on the highest artistic standards characterises AlDA ON FIRE, designed by Pier’Alli from La Scala in Milan, and CARMEN MONUMENTAL OPERA directed by Yekta Kara.
With BEN HUR LIVE, ART CONCERTS embarks on a whole new concept and defines a new genre in live entertainment.
